Venue
Stanmer Park (near University of Sussex), Brighton. What will the course cover? The course will enable participants to learn about green roofs and their benefits and also develop practical skills in the construction of a simple green roof which can then be applied to a garden shed or similar structure. Each participant will finish the day with a “sample roof” (approx 30cm’s square) to take away with them to serve as a physical reminder of how the roof was built. Additionally a CD Rom with practical information will be given to participants at the end of the day. Background information will be provided on green roofs, their history and evolution, and also on the selection and purchase of suitable plants and substrates to be used on a green roof. Details will also be given about the availability of all the materials used during the day. Course tutorsTuition will by provided by Dusty Gedge and John Little.
